9pm – Niall McCabe Band –
Niall McCabe is a singer/songwriter from Clare Island off the coast of Co.Mayo. Bringing together the deep silences of Island life and the traditional music of his childhood to the heart wrenching soul sounds he heard from the other side of the Atlantic and the pop music coming over the airwaves he is creating a style of his own he calls ‘Transatlantic Soul’, neither folk nor soul but drifting in the seas between. Releasing two albums with his band he has performed with them and as a solo artist extensively in Ireland, Europe and America.

DJ Darren Shorten keeps us grooving in to the small hours with an eclectic mix of dance floor fillers
2pm – Paul Dunlea Quintet –
Trombonist Paul Dunlea is joined by Top Irish and International Jazz musicians. Line up includes : Derek O Connor (sax) Linley Hamilton (trumpet) Julien Colarossi (guitar) Cormac McCarthy (piano) James Polski (Drums)
Although at home in a variety of musical styles, Cork Trombonist/Composer/Arranger, Paul Dunlea concentrates primarily on Jazz and Improvisation. This has furthered his reputation as one of Irelands most in demand musicians.
Dunlea has performed/toured/recorded with the likes of Cassandra Wilson, Frankie Valli, Liam O’Maonlaoi, Mick Flannery, Richard Reed Parry (Arcade Fire), Bryce Dressner (The National), Lewis Nash, Peter §Washington, Billy Drummond, David O’ Rourke’s O’ Rourkestra ,Taylor Eigsti, RTE Concert Orchestra, The Crash Ensemble, The Dublin City Jazz Orchestra, Syd Lawrence Orchestra, Hot House Big Band, Freezeroom & Brian Deady.
4.30pm –Swing’n’joy –
Swing’n’joy invites you to go back in time for a trip through the great American songbook. Between Paris and Harlem, between Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan, to modern arrangements from Diana Washington to Carmen McRae, Swing’n’Joy have organized a journey for you.
Led by internationally renowned Jazz dancer and singer Ksenia Parkhatskaya and Double Bassist David Duffy, this band brings together some of the finest Irish and International musicians. They combine sophistication and elegance in every arrangement, while always keeping the dance floor swinging. Whether you are a dancer or just want to enjoy some classic jazz with a cocktail in hand, swing’n’joy have something for you.

Seven piece groove masters, Soul Driven, have been kicking down venue doors all over the country with their hard-hitting, brass-infused mixture of soul, funk, jazz and blues. Whether at the Waterford Spraoi Festival, Guinness Jazz Festival, Dun Laoghaire Festival of World Cultures, or Murphy’s Little Big Weekend, the band has yet to fail in their mission to groove audiences with original arrangements of classic tunes and sheer musical virtuosity.
9.30pm – Interskalactic
This is not Two Tone Ska, it’s not Reggae or Rocksteady, it is Ska, as it was first created in the “Big Bang” of Jamaican Independence in 1962.
It’s all about that party feeling, with the freedom of breaking orbit & going intergalactic with what was then, a new Music called SKA! Presenting booster rocket rumbles from the likes of “The Skatalites” & “Byron Lee & The Dragonaires”, to warp driven escapades by “Prince Buster”, “The Blues Busters” & “Toots & The Maytals”, Interskalactic are boldly going were no Ska band has gone before! Featuring a top quality line up of space cadets, having served aboard galaxy class starships such as, “The Candidates”, “Indica”, “Attention BeBe”, “East Coast Jazz Band”, “Shouting At Planes” and “Cops & Robbers”.
11pm – DJ Ché-K –
Ché-K will bring you back to a place you had forgotten you loved so much. Expect to hear songs that remind you of the first record ever bought, your first leather jacket, or your very first live gig Or festival . Playing an eclectic mix from classic Indie, Rock, Funk & R&b to 80’s & 90’s dance.
2pm – Runaway Retros
Formed in 2017 and featuring Colette -Vocals, Dave -Bass, John -guitar -Karl -drums and Dan -Sax
The members are highly experienced musicians and have in other guises, played Jazz Festivals in Ireland and abroad.
60’s Soul, 50’s jazz, 40’s swing, 30’s blues, 2010’s postmodern.

Actress, Playwright, Singer, Songwriter, Swing Dancer- Colette’s natural home is the stage and her vocal style blends the gritty soul of Amy Winehouse with the penetrating clarity of tone of Dinah Washington. Her exuberant stage personality lends impact to each RUNAWAY RETROS show.
KARL // drums
In 4/5-piece mode, Top Pro Percussionist Karl, equally at home in Jazz and Rock swings like crazy, testifying to that Retro Groove
JOHN // guitar/BV
Versatile lead guitarist and creative soloist, John has huge experience in Stage Shows /Recording/live performance and writes many of the musical arrangements for the band. His Blues/Jazz style guitarwork adds much to the signature sound of the band.
DAVE // double/electric basses/BV
Much travelled musician with a background in Roots and Pop music, now based in Cork – Dave is a highly respected bassist with a driving rhythmic style. Also a Mandolin player, Dave handles management of the band and – together with Colette and John – is a founding member of RUNAWAY RETROS
DAN // tenor/alto sax
In quintet lineup, Master sessionist and jazz sax supremo, Dan delivers searing solos, firing up the band with that New Orleans mojo.
4.30pm – Belleville Hot Club
Combining the sounds and spirit of Django Reinhardt, Stephane Grappelli and the Hot Club of France, with the sweet tones of Sidney Bechet’s clarinet, Belleville Hot Club’s repertoire include Dixieland classics, gypsy jazz burners and swing jazz standards… something for every early jazz fan.

9.30pm – Chainska Brassika
This mischievous rabble from London have been causing mischief since school, spreading their contagious horn driven ska anthems across the UK, mainland Europe and beyond.
With a sound heavily based around the bands heavy 4 piece horn section, Chainska Brassika are 8 school mates who have become firm party favourites, getting crowds rocking from Glastonbury to Nottinghill Carnival, Rototom Sunplash to Boomtown – and even touring the island of Jamaica. Well known for regularly opening for UK ska legends Madness, the band have also been seen on lineups with The Wailers, Easy Star All Stars & The Skatalites.
Their debut album ‘Skinna’ was released in late 2015, being championed by reggae DJ David Rodigan and backed up with being crowned winners of the World Reggae Contest in Poland, beating over 100 bands from 28 countries – despite being predominantly a ska band. This earned the band a trip to record their follow up album in Jamaica at Harry J Studio’s, famous for where Bob Marley & The Wailers recorded the albums Natty Dread, Catch A Fire, Rastaman Vibration & Burnin’.
On 24th November 2017 the band released their next album ‘Harry J Business’, which was recorded at Harry J Studios in Kingston, Jamaica with double Grammy award winning producer Stephen Stewart. Extensive tours of the UK and Europe to promote the album followed, with plans for a USA leg this spring.
The album has a rare feature from well known reggae singer Toots Hibbert of Toots & The Maytals which has gained airplay across BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6 Music & BBC Radio 1xtra. The album gained a 6 page review in the world’s biggest reggae magazine ‘Festiville’ organised by Reggaeville and has got them invited to showcase at SXSW Festival in Texas, USA.

3pm – Clare Sands Quintet
Gracing a fender strat guitar in one hand and electric violin in the other, Sands has a unique ability to blend Jazz/Funk/Latin music with a Celtic twist – a fantastic feisty fusion – while her alluring voices ebbs and flows throughout her eclectic music.
Clare released her debut album ‘Join Me at The Table’ in October 2016 (Available worldwide on iTunes/CD Baby/ Website) to critical acclaim ‘Beautiful sounds’- RTE Radio 1. The album, entirely self-composed, is an eclectic mix of Blues/Folk/Jazz/Trad, recorded by musician and producer Christian Best of Monique Studios, Cork. The album was one of Clare’s personal highlights of 2017, as well as performing at Electric Picnic, Cork Opera House, and The National Concert Hall, and having her music featured on renowned radio shows.

HOT CLUB CORK brings together some of the wildest musicians from Cork’s vibrant jazz scene.
Colum Pettit Violin is a Cork native recently returned after 25 years plying his fiddle in London, Paris, Puerto Rico, Miami and Barcelona. Following in the awesome footsteps of Stephane Grappelli Colum brings a world of influences to the classic swing/manouche/gypsy repertoire.
Dylan Gully Clarinet from Brittany is well known to Cork audiences as leader of such scintillating projects as TxuTxuKan and Pas d’nom Pas d’Maison, combining the best of Balkan and gypsy music with swing and jazz.
Sam Clague Guitar of Clonakilty is the darling of the contemporary jazz scene and will be joined by such titans as Cormac Hennessy, Phillip Guiton and Neil Murphy.
